Hello and welcome to our website! We are San Jose State University's official dance team. Since the 1970's, the Spartan Spectrum dancers have been performing with the SJSU Marching Band at all home football games as well as home basketball games, NFL games, high school exhibitions, parades, various away games, and Bowl Games. 

 

As a member of the Spartan Spectrum Dance Team, participants have a great time performing various shows throughout the season in several costumes provided by the University. They also receive priority registration, scholarships for dance majors, 2 units of credit, and they learn what it takes to be a professional dancer/cheerleader.

 

The team is directed by Nicole McAllister, a former 3 year Spartan Spectrum dancer and Oakland Raiderette alumni. She is also a dance department graduate of San Jose State University. Nicole is assisted by Catherine Lopes, a former 4 year Spartan Spectrum dancer and Oakland Raiderette alumni.
